Wallpapers for Vista - New Project
Just recently, I launched a brand new project called Wallpaper for Vista, a site dedicated to providing high quality, free wallpapers with no annoying software attached. That concept is not exactly a new one (although rare in the bulk of spammy desktop customization websites out there), however, the site does pack a few other cool features.
For instance, when wallpapers are uploaded to the site, they are automagically resized to any desktop resolutions they can fit under the dimensions they are uploaded as. For instance, a wallpaper uploaded at 1920×1200 will resize to other resolutions such as “1680×1050″, “1280×1024″, etc… And the best part about this feature is that it is not simply restricted to the administrators of the site. Anyone can create a user profile, and start building their own wallpaper immediately!
Speaking of user profiles, members can save their favorite wallpapers for later, customize their personal profile, and even have their own wallpapers featured in the main gallery. We have a few other features planned for registered members, and ideas for how we can make the project a little more personal and pratical.
For updates on this project, and some cool desktop customization related articles, be sure to add the Wallpapers for Vista blog to your feed reader!
